MORE ABOUT

Dryrobe

Dryrobe® was designed by Gideon Bright - a UK-based surfer who realised early on that getting changed outside in the winter was no fun. His mother created something for him to make getting changed outdoors more comfortable – a huge cape with waterproof material on the outside, a towel lining and a hood, which soon became an essential piece of kit on surfing trips. This was the inspiration for the ‘dryrobe’ he went on to develop. Now a familiar sight on beaches, the dryrobe is used by surfers, cold-water swimmers, triathletes – and anyone who enjoys being outdoors whatever the weather. It is made with 100% recycled nylon, approved by Global Recycle Standard. The weatherproof shell fabric is made with pre-consumer recycled nylon otherwise destined for landfill – old fishing nets, tights and nylon carpets. The lining is made from 100% recycled polyester from post-consumer plastic – a large part of which comes from plastic bottles.
