The Fife Arms Salmon Fly Fishing Tin

Based on the River Dee in Scotland – famous for its fine fishing – TwinPeakes is dedicated to the art of fly fishing. The team's deep knowledge of the waters, the fish and the natural world of the Highlands means that they are able to pick the right fly for every condition to maximise the chances of a catch. With this experience, they have created a collection of bespoke salmon flies most suited to Highland fishing spots – all hand tied using the Fife Arms colours.

The 9 flies are presented in an engraved aluminium fly tin made by renowned fly tin maker Richard Wheatley Ltd, lined with sustainable British wool.

2 x Braemar Gold Shrimp - a great all-rounder which will fool salmon throughout the season, best in medium river levels.
2 x Wee Golden Badger - one of the best flies for the summer months. Great in low water on bright days.
3 x Fife Stoat (two size 12, one size 10) – one of the best salmon flies for Scottish fishing, the Fife Stoat is an adaptation of the traditional Stoat's Tail and is great all summer long.
2 x Kelloch Piglet – a fly to be used towards the end of the season. The drab appearance can be deadly for those well-rested autumn salmon.

Richard Wheatley

The Richard Wheatley Fly Box is known and prized by fishermen throughout the world. Wheatley started his business in 1860, making fishing pocketbooks out of leather. In the 1800s, Richard's eldest son joined the business as a partner and together they developed the first fly clip to hold eyed flies. In 1900, aluminium was first introduced and Richard Wheatley was one of the first English manufacturers to use this new material, developing a special satin finish that is still used today. The aluminium fly boxes are made in the same way that they have been for over a hundred years.
