Hand-Woven Birch Nests
These delicate birch nests – lined with soft, pale lichen to create a contrast in texture and colour – have been hand woven by Aberdeenshire-based basket maker Helen Jackson, inspired by the intricate craftsmanship of birds themselves.
Jackson explores the abundant materials she finds in the Highland landscape – twigs, leaves, grasses – to create her woven baskets and sculptures. These birch nests – perfect for holding chocolate eggs at a celebratory meal – are a lovely way to bring nature onto the Easter table.
